Inclement Weather Policy
The BLACK LUXE EXPO puts the safety of its exhibitors, attendees, staff, and volunteers first. Dangerous weather conditions pose a unique challenge to an event the size of the expo. Therefore we have adopted the following Inclement
Weather Policy:
The expo will NOT be canceled due to rain.
Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event, with special attention placed on the possibility of ice, heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds, and extreme temperatures (hot or cold). If necessary, we will make everyone aware of these conditions and possible dangers which could result. Priority announcements via email will be made to staff, volunteers, sponsors, and exhibitors. Attendees will be updated via social media (Instagram and Facebook) and the website.
The Event Director and expo staff, in consultation with the appropriate officials, will monitor the weather and make a decision if any action will be taken to modify the expo. Possible changes include altering the start time or, in extreme situations, cancellation of the event.
Visible lightning may cause the expo to be postponed for a minimum of 30 minutes. If ice is visible the expo personnel, medical team, fire, venue staff, and police personnel reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the expo due to severe inclement weather.
NOTE: No refunds are given if the expo is canceled. If canceled due to inclement weather, exhibitors’ fees will be transferred to the new date.
We will host the expo rain or shine.
Exhibitors should come properly prepared to withstand any weather conditions throughout the event.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND all exhibitors bring a 10x10 tent/with covering to withstand weather conditions.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the event may be delayed, canceled, or moved completely inside.
